Kartik Aaryan Plays Murlikant Petkar, In his Next Film

On November 1, 1944, in Sangli, Maharashtra, Murlikant Petkar was born. Winning an individual gold medal at the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany, he became the first Indian to compete in the Paralympic Games. At 37.33 seconds, Murlikant Petkar set a world record in the 50-meter freestyle swimming event.

During the 1965 war against Pakistan, Petkar was injured multiple times in an aircraft attack. He informed the IPC that he was going out for tea in the afternoon, and I heard the warning sound of an aerial attack.

I attempted to get back to my room, but the firing had already begun. I was hit by several bullets in a hurry, and I was also run over by an army truck.

As a soldier who never gave up, he is genuinely a living legend. He triumphed in every race throughout his life despite facing several obstacles.

In his next film, “Chandu Champion,” Kartik Aaryan will play the role of living legend Murlikant Petkar. June 14 is the scheduled release date for the film.
